1. Restrict which devices can join

Start with an inventory: identify the host computer, every client machine and the people responsible for them. Pairing should be intentional, revocable and easy for an administrator to review.

2. Protect traffic across the network

Also configure the physical layout accurately: clients placed at any edge of the host display should mirror the user’s actual desk arrangement.

4. Validate performance on the real desk

Try the configuration with the monitors, applications and network you use every day. Check cursor transitions, response time and behavior across multiple displays.
