Terms of Service

1. About the service

HelloControlDesk is a software KVM solution that allows you to control multiple computers (Mac or Windows) from a single keyboard and mouse over your local network. The service comprises a web dashboard (account management, licensing) and a desktop application (the KVM software itself).

2. Account

You must create an account to access the service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly report any unauthorised use to contact@hellocontroldesk.com.

3. Subscriptions and payment

• Monthly plan: €19.90 HT/month, billed monthly, auto-renewing. Cancel anytime from your dashboard.
• Annual plan: €99.90 HT/year, billed yearly, auto-renewing. Cancel anytime from your dashboard.
• All prices are exclusive of VAT. VAT is calculated and added at checkout based on your location.
• Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI-DSS certified). We never store your payment details.
• No refund is issued for the current billing period. Cancellation stops future renewals.

4. License

Upon purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the HelloControlDesk desktop application on your own machines. You may not sublicense, resell, or distribute the software or your license token to third parties.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Share your license token with any third party.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the desktop application.
• Use the service to interfere with or disrupt third-party systems.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability of the web dashboard and license validation API. The KVM functionality itself operates over your local network and does not depend on our servers once the session is established. We are not liable for outages caused by force majeure, third-party infrastructure failures, or scheduled maintenance (announced in advance where possible).

7. Intellectual property

All software, logos, trademarks, and content associated with HelloControlDesk are the exclusive property of Hello Factory and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct damages and capped at the amounts you paid in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately in case of material breach of these Terms, without refund. Upon termination, your license token is deactivated.

10. Changes to Terms

We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first seek an amicable resolution. Failing that, the courts of Paris shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Contact: legal@hellocontroldesk.com
